Australian not-for-profit community organisation

Supporting Communities. Creating Opportunities. Changing Lives.

Comminco Projects Inc. supports disadvantaged and vulnerable people in Australia and overseas. We work to reduce social isolation, strengthen community connections, support young people, assist African seniors and provide practical humanitarian assistance to communities experiencing hardship.

Where it began

The kindness of Ralph & Barbara Hickey.

Two Toowoomba volunteers welcomed a newly arrived refugee family — and their example inspired an organisation that now gives back.

Our story

Built on lived experience

Our organisation was established by people with lived experience of displacement, refugee settlement and rebuilding their lives in Australia. We understand the importance of receiving practical assistance, encouragement and a genuine sense of belonging.
