Who We Are

Comminco Projects Inc. is a community-led, not-for-profit organisation committed to supporting disadvantaged and vulnerable individuals, families and communities.

Our work is inspired by lived experience. Members of our organisation understand the challenges of war, displacement, migration, language barriers, social isolation and adjusting to life in a new country. We believe that with the right support, people can overcome difficult circumstances, build confidence and make meaningful contributions to their communities.

Our Objectives

Comminco Projects Inc. aims to:

  • Support disadvantaged and vulnerable individuals and communities nationally and internationally.
  • Provide humanitarian assistance, including medical, educational and non-food relief items.
  • Deliver community programs involving advocacy, education, protection, health awareness and referrals.
  • Support youth development, mentoring, recreation and community engagement.
  • Reduce social isolation through sport and community participation.
  • Assist African seniors in Australia, including culturally appropriate information, social connection and transport assistance.
  • Support families and children from African backgrounds by promoting cultural continuity, connection and understanding.
  • Operate as a not-for-profit organisation for public and community benefit.

Comminco Projects Inc. does not provide statutory child-protection services, clinical mental-health treatment or regulated aged-care services unless the organisation obtains the necessary registrations and qualified personnel. Where specialised assistance is required, we help connect people with appropriate services.
